Claude Jubert Rada was born on October 23, 1922 in Stemford, South Dakota and raised there as the son of the late Joseph Rada (born in Bohemia), and Christena Erickson (born in Sweden). He married Gladys Jensen on November 21, 1942. Their Record of Marriage listed Claude Rada as Bohemian/Swede Nationality and his wife Gladys Jensen as Dane/Englisch Nationality.
He lived in Kadoka, South Dakota when he enlisted the service (#37554590). The Morning Report of Company G, 331st Infantry Regiment from July 15, 1944 listed him as assigned and joined from the 92th Replacement Battalion on July 11. At that time, Company G was South of Sainteny, Normandy, France.

Claude Rada passed away on November, 6, 2003 and is burried at the Ocean View Memory Gardens and Crematory, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon.
